UFV is a fully accredited, public university that serves over 10,000 students. UFV offers university transfer programs and 12 bachelor's degree programs. In 2005, UFV began offering Canada's first applied Master of Arts in Criminal Justice. In addition to the degree programs UFV offers more than 70 programs in applied and academic areas. These include career and technical training in areas ranging from agriculture and aviation to nursing and applied business technology. Trades training, English as a second language, and college & career preparation programs are available. UFV offers many courses online each semester and has an active Co-operative Education program and an International Education department.

FACILITY/SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS: UFV serves residents of the central and upper Fraser Valley. It has campuses in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Mission, and regional centres in Hope and Agassiz. A full range of on-campus student support services are available. A new state-of-art athletic centre opened on the Abbotsford campus in autumn 2006 when UFV's top-ranked sports teams entered the Canadian Interuniversity Sports league. On-campus residences opened in Abbotsford in autumn 2007.
